Channel / Slope Protection

Sewage Treatment Plant
Cable Concrete used for bank stabilization around perimeter of pond.
Prevention of erosion was necessary due to turbulent airatores.

Low Water Crossing
Mining trucks hauling gypsum to the state-owned cement plant needed to cross an environmently sensitive creek. Cable Concrete chosen to protect creekbed from erosion due to tire rutting, and to maintain water quality.
Slope Protection
Cable Concrete was used to protect bed and side slopes of a channel consuming water from a water pumping station and a retention pond within a large residential development.
Channel Protection
A pooling area for a steep high flow channel was created using Cable Concrete. This area dissipated the high velocity of water flow prior to entering a low flow creek. The channel was approximately ½ mile long, with bed slopes up to 30% and velocities of 8.5 m/sec.

Military Application
Boat Ramp
The U.S. Army chose Cable Concrete.. The solution to your lake and riverway access problems. Durable, aesthetically pleasing, vehicle and pedestrian friendly and easy to install.
Lakeshore Protection
Cable Concrete specified to control erosion in staging area for amphibious vehicle lake crossing maneuvers. Entrance to and exit from lake protected to a depth of eight feet.
Tank Crossing
Unstable soils being damaged by track vehicle maneuvers. Cable Concrete specified to
support 72 ton tanks without excessive soil compaction and rutting.

Vegetation
Channel Protection
Cable Concrete was specified to protect soils from being eroded away along a 45 foot wide storm sewer channel.
Storm Sewer Outlet
This 514 lineal foot long channel was lined with Cable Concrete in order to protect soils from washing away. Backfill and hydro seeding was performed to obtain the desired natural appearance.
Bridge Pier
Cable Concrete specified to control erosion around small bridge abutments.
Product chosen for aesthetics and lack of future maintenance.
Overflow Protection
A newly constructed pedestrian and bicycle path runs along a portion of this river.
On the slopes of this riverbank Cable Concrete was placed for overflow protection.

Storm Water Management Pond
Access Road Overflow
This pond was created to collect water and sedimentation from a storm sewer during rainfall. Cable Concrete was placed in the bottom of the siltation area in addition to an access road. The latter enabling maintenance vehicles to enter and remove deposits as required.
Water Treatment
The banks of this retention pond are protected with Cable Concrete.
This pond is used to regulate the water in a densely populated area.

 Roadside/Lakeside

Lakeshore Protection
Rising water level encroaching upon state highway shoulder area. Cable Concrete was chosen to protect shoulder from wave action while considering the safety of passing motorists.

Bridge Abutment Protection
Roadway runoff and creek turbulence was causing erosion behind all four wingwalls. Cable Concrete specified to handle steep slopes and water velocities while allowing access to channel.

Bridge Pier Protection
Bridge Pier / Slope Protection
Bridge pier and scour protection was required under several bridges along the Trinity River.
Frequent flooding was a significant factor in this Cable Concrete design.
Bridge Pier
Cable Concrete was specified to prevent erosion under a newly constructed overpass bridge. To eliminate future maintenance the articulated mat system was backfilled and seeded with desired grass.

Landfill
Landfill
Three drainage chutes designed to handle all runoff from this 98 acre metropolitan landfill. Slopes in excess of 14% eliminated riprap as a viable channel lining material.
Keel Valley Landfill Site
Cable Concrete used in a channel application to carry run off water from roadway and landfill to holding ponds.

Boat Ramps
Boat Ramp
Private marina and yacht club with launching / pullout service for boats up to 50 feet in length. Cable Concrete specified to replace deteriorated concrete slabs for underwater portion of ramp, to a depth of 7 feet.
Boat Ramp
Small commercial boat landing was becoming unusable due to deterioration of concrete slabs. Cable Concrete was chosen for durability and ease of installation.

Access Road
Access Road
Cable concrete specified in lieu of solid pavement to improve
residential aesthetics and reduce surface runoff of rainwater
.

Additional applications that Cable Concrete can be used for are Box Culvert Outlets, Dike and Dam Overflow, Temporary & Emergency Erosion Control, Fire Lanes, Spillways, Firing Ranges, etc..
